I’m back?

I noticed I haven’t posted on here in a long time so I thought I’d provide a quick update.

First of all, my lack of blogging wasn’t due to the typical reason people stop blogging on a poker blog.  So, no I did not go bust! :)   Actually, I lost a little bit of interest in playing poker every day and that has led me away from blogging about it every day.

Now, I play only maybe twice a week for an hour or two and nowhere near the obsessive level when I was working full-time.  I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that it was such a perfect escape from the horrible rut I was in at my 40-plus hour job that I loathed.  Even though I’m still unemployed and close to running out of unemployment weeks and rarely finding an opportunity to get paid to write, I have never been more satisfied.

Plus, the fact that I play poker less has actually made me a BETTER player.  I don’t quite remember where I was at last time I blogged but my overall bankroll is over $4,000… probably around $4,300.

I particularly enjoy the new Matrix tourneys on Full Tilt and had a nice run in a bounty tournament on Gutshot Poker a few nights ago (I played just to keep my account active and it paid off!).  Also, I did fairly well in our home game tournaments and finished 2nd overall last season.  I also was the first to top $4,000 in overall cashes there.

I might find more time to write here now that baseball season is no longer in full swing but that one is tough to say.  The Phillies did deliver a World Series so anything is possible now! :)
