What a slump… and a night of degenerative bliss!
Well, my hoops results yesterday were horrible:
Toronto -10.5 Atlanta (Loss)
Seattle +1 Miami (Loss)
New York/Atlanta OVER 202 (Loss)
Denver/LA Clippers UNDER 213 (Loss)
Washington/Chicago OVER 197 (Loss)
That puts me at 0-5 for yesterday 0-8 on my last 8 picks and 14-20-2 overall (41.7%). Today, I have no picks. I think I’ll let it sit for a day after that one.
As for my Friday, I went to Delaware Park and placed a few bets on some horse racing. I won one bet for $107. Then I played electronic blackjack and won $10, Deal or No Deal slot machine and won $30, electronic Roulette and won $15, video poker and won $25 and then lost $25 on multi-handed electronic blackjack. Overall, I walked out $130 ahead. i was tempted to make a big bet on a soccer game I found on TV late to finish the night in true degenerative fashion but I couldn’t find a line on it… it may have been tape delayed.
Speaking of soccer, MLS is coming to my hometown of Chester. It will be referred to as Philadelphia but the stadium is in Chester which will be roughly 10-15 minutes from my current residence. I’m very excited and I might be one of the few. I’ve always wanted to go to an MLS game and now I’ll get the opportunity. Philadelphia teams outside of the three major sports and hockey have traditionally done well and it will be interesting to see how this team fares in two years. Hopefully, MLS doesn’t fold by then.
